We have added a link on the library homepage of the website to 'Thinking Anglicans' http://www.thinkinganglicans.org.uk/

This seems to be a useful site for up-to-date information on the Anglican church.

The site describes itself:

'Thinking Anglicans is a website for thoughtful contributions to the proclamation of the gospel message. Here writers reflect on what it means to be a Christian, particularly in Britain today.
Thinking Anglicans will actively report news, events and documents that affect church people, and will comment on them from a liberal Christian perspective.'

Worth a look!

Just been looking at http://books.google.co.uk/ If you type in a book title, author or keyword, the results show the cover of the book. Clicking on this shows some of the contents of the book - at the very least, the contents page.

This looks like a good way to find titles on a topic. Any book could then be requested via our inter-library loan system.

You could try typing any of the book details of the books on our new books list 'additions to stock' on the library homepage menu) to get an idea of their content.

We have just posted the list of books added to stock during May 2006 onto the website - go to 'additions to stock' on the menu of the library page.

There are 64 new books on the list, including Christopher Jamison's 'Finding sanctuary: monastic steps for everyday life' (the book of the TV series 'The Monastery'). Library members can contact us to reserve any of the books - or any others from the catalogue. Don't forget we can post books to you.
Let us know what you think of the list! Have we missed anything important?
